* (Egypt) Hieroglyphics Translator  Very nice, I think I even printed up a chart of the different basic symbols, and we searched pictures in articles for things we could recognize. 

* Encarta Learning Zone - this looks like it could be a really good service if it weren't trying so hard to sell Hooked on Phonics.  It's a blend of MSN and Encarta, and everything I've looked at thus far is free.  It also has a Schoolhouse section, and ones for parents and educators.  It looks like a really nice link farm too.
